About The Horses Lounge
In September of 1976, Fred Fritzen, Sr. and his wife, Gladys, made their dream a reality when they opened The Horses Lounge in Schenectady, N.Y.
Fred Fritzen Sr., continued the business after Gladys passed away in 2002, but about 10 years later his health issues prevented him from being able to run The Horses Lounge. In 2014, his son, Fred Fritzen, aka “Lil’ Fred,” moved back to New York from South Florida with his pride and joy, “Bella,” to care for his father and take over running the family business.
Lil’ Fred was born and raised in Schenectady, N.Y., and spent a lot of his youth in The Horses Lounge while his father ran the business. This is the place to stop down to in Schenectady for a foodie twist on bar foods and a great drink.
